What does the birthday party include?

Birthday packages include the VR experience with equipment and guidance, gaming decorations, a themed setting, a display cake and Nino greeting the guests. The display cake is decorative; an edible cake and catering are arranged separately. Confirm the spaces and duration of your chosen package.

Can we bring cake, food and drinks?

For parties, you can bring your own food or order our catering kits. Cake, sweets, savoury snacks and drinks can also be arranged in the quote. This option applies to event packages: regular visits and VIP Game do not allow outside food.

Is the space exclusive to our group?

Exclusive use applies to full rental of the agreed space. Per-headset bookings may share a session with other players.

How do we confirm the date?

Our team confirms availability, your package and the quote. Before paying, you receive the confirmation, deposit and cancellation terms that apply to your party.

Do accompanying guests pay? What about children?

Accompanying guests who do not play enter free. Adults who want to play also need a ticket. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the arena. Parents and guardians can watch the experience on the venue’s TVs.

How do I get there and how early should I arrive?

We are on the 2nd floor of Estação Santa Mônica, at Rua Valter Mussi, 61. There is a lift, paid parking in the building and parking nearby. Arrive 15–20 minutes before your game; party arrival and setup times are arranged with our team.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book in advance?
On weekdays, you may be able to play at short notice, but weekends are often fully booked 1–2 weeks ahead. We recommend booking in advance to secure a convenient time.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit of 50% of the total is required to confirm birthday, VIP Game and other private event bookings at VR Parque. To receive a refund if you cancel, please let us know at least two days before the event. Otherwise, the deposit will be held as credit for your next visit.
Will other people play alongside our group?
If you book the entire arena, there will be no other guests playing with your group during your reserved time. If you book individual headsets, other players may join the session.
Can we change games during the session?
Yes! You can switch between games and try as many as you like. The number of games does not affect the price.
Can we extend our session?
Yes, if there is no booking immediately after yours, you can extend your session.
Can I play while wearing glasses?
Yes! For example, the Meta Quest 3 has a special facial insert that provides more room to wear glasses inside the headset. Large frames may not fit comfortably.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Birthday packages — Standard, VIP 1 or VIP 2 — include access to the lounge for breaks and refreshments. You may bring food and non-alcoholic drinks. Outside food is not permitted with a regular game booking.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable clothes and shoes without heels. You may also want to bring a change of shoes.

How a birthday party at VR Parque works

Your group arrives at the booked time. Before anything else, the team explains the equipment, what will happen and the rules of the chosen game. The group then splits up: some enter the free-roam arena while the others stay in the lounge, eat and watch on the screen. The groups swap after each round. At the end, there is time for the cake and birthday song without rushing.

This rotation makes the format work for 20 or 30 people: nobody spends two hours waiting for a turn, and adults have somewhere to sit instead of standing in a corridor.

We welcome groups from across Grande Florianópolis — Santa Mônica, Trindade, Itacorubi, Córrego Grande, Centro and Estreito — and from other cities in Santa Catarina, such as São José, Palhoça and Biguaçu. We are on the island, with easy access from the mainland too.

Why it works better than a conventional party

The difference is that the party has a plan. At a party venue or at home, a family member can spend the whole birthday trying to entertain the children. Here, the activity has a beginning, middle and end, with the team guiding it. Parents get to be guests at their own party.

It also creates stories to tell. A nine-year-old talks at school about the game they played, and parents leave with videos — something a table of sweets cannot offer.

Ideas by age

Ages 8–12

Collections of mini-games with short rounds and rules you can explain in one sentence: Party 1 and Party 2 (PT). Everyone plays together, scores change each round and nobody loses interest halfway through. This is an age group that gets a lot from the party format.

Ages 13–17

Adults

What is included in a birthday party?

The reserved space at the agreed time, VR sessions for your group, support from our team throughout the event and a lounge for breaks. You provide the cake, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, which often costs much less than a fixed package.

How many children can attend?

10–30 people. Up to 10 play in the arena at the same time. Larger groups rotate, with some guests in the lounge while the others play.

What is the minimum age for children to play?

The minimum age in the VR zones is 8. This relates to the fit of the equipment: headsets do not fit younger children comfortably. Younger siblings can join the party and play on PlayStation 5.

Can I bring a cake, snacks and soft drinks?

Yes, with a birthday package. Your group can use the lounge and enjoy your own food and non-alcoholic drinks between sessions. Outside food is not permitted with regular bookings that are not part of a party package.

How much does a birthday party cost?

How far in advance should I book?

Weekends are often fully booked one or two weeks ahead, and further ahead in peak season. Start asking for quotes about a month in advance to have a choice of times.

What if it rains on the day?

The whole park is indoors, so rain does not affect the party. In Florianópolis, many people choose this format so they do not have to depend on the weather.
